Trailside RV Center is a leading RV dealership in the Greater Kansas City area. Located in Grain Valley off of I-70, we have been serving our customers with pride and professionalism since 1984. Trailside is a member of the Go RVing Coalition and the Route 66 RV Network, both established to create a supportive network for RVers across North America, and we use those guiding principles as we work to make our customer’s experience seamless and joyful. About the Role

The Controller will be responsible for all month/year-end accounting processes, as well as managing the treasury and Human Resources function. The role is 100% in-office and comes with a competitive benefits package. We’re looking for someone who has experience with dealer accounting as well as a strategic and quality-driven mindset. You are excited for the opportunity to create and implement new processes, while maintaining high quality deliverables and fostering a team-oriented culture. No job is too big or too small at Trailside, and the ability to manage multiple priorities is a must.

A day in the life

○ Manage and oversee all elements of the Accounting department including:

○ Accounts payable and receivable

○ Cash receipts and bank reconciliations

○ Payroll & taxes

○ Inventory accounting & fixed assets reconciliation

○ Budgeting & cash forecasting

• Compile and review GAAP-compliant financial statements
• Research and implement new accounting guidance as needed
• Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
• Maintain and protect financial and personnel records
• Assign projects and manage teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years experience in a dealership setting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at a minimum, Master’s and/or CPA a plus
• Experience with Microsoft Excel
• A strategic mind with strong attention to detail
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to set & meet key objectives
