Trailside is a member of the Go RVing Coalition and the Route 66 RV Network, both established to create a supportive network for RVers across North America, and we use those guiding principles as we work to make our customer’s experience seamless and joyful. We are a tight-knit and committed team, many employees having been at the company for 15+ years.

About the Role

The Controller will be responsible for all month/year-end accounting processes, as well as managing the treasury and Human Resources function. The role is 100% in-office and comes with a competitive benefits package. We’re looking for someone who has experience with dealer accounting as well as a strategic and quality-driven mindset. You are excited for the opportunity to create and implement new processes, while maintaining high quality deliverables and fostering a team-oriented culture. No job is too big or too small at Trailside, and the ability to manage multiple priorities is a must.

A day in the life

○ Manage and oversee all elements of the Accounting department including:

○ Accounts payable and receivable

○ Cash receipts and bank reconciliations

○ Payroll & taxes

○ Inventory accounting & fixed assets reconciliation

○ Budgeting & cash forecasting

  • Compile and review GAAP-compliant financial statements
  • Research and implement new accounting guidance as needed
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Maintain and protect financial and personnel records
  • Assign projects and manage teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years experience in a dealership setting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at a minimum, Master’s and/or CPA a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel
  • A strategic mind with strong attention to detail
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to set & meet key objectives
